 EMTEC Alternative Energy Group
Facilitating Ohio's Energy Alternatives
EMTEC has been focusing on solving fuel cells and the hydrogen economy’s most pressing materials and manufacturing processes through interaction with industries, world-class universities and federal research facilities.
Alternative Energy Technology Group Programs
Fuel Cell Hotline
Who supplies Fuel Cell Components in Ohio? How can my organization become part of the global fuel cell supply chain? Use this ODOD sponsored program to get answers to your Fuel Cell questions.
EMTEC Hydrogen Program
EMTEC is managing a US Department of Energy program to commercialize technologies developed or aligned with hydrogen production, storage, or processing. The goal of the program is to foster early commercialization of simplified, better performing, innovative, and/or cost-effective hydrogen technology in the United States by improving materials and manufacturing processes.
Fuel Cell Supply Chain
EMTEC has an ongoing program with the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) to build up the Fuel Cell Supply Chain both within and outside of Ohio.

The goal of the project is to:
  1. Develop a Fuel Cell request hot line to channel products and services or products and services related requests to appropriate Ohio manufacturers, in support of establishing an Ohio based Fuel Cell supply chain.
  2. Develop appropriate collaborative programs addressing Industrial Fuel Cell Supply chain technology needs with Ohio’s research community.
  3. Lead or assist in developing funding proposals to secure additional funding for Ohio Industrial Fuel Cell Supply chain applied research efforts.
  4. Identify specific Fuel Cell related technology at Ohio’s Federal labs suitable for commercialization within Ohio’s Industrial Fuel Cell Supply chain.
Third Frontier Alternative Energy Projects
The overall purpose of the proposed project is to develop and commercialize manufacturing processes for PEM fuel cells in the State of Ohio to create jobs and companies within the State.
