MEMORANDUM
The operating environment and budgetary conditions for the CT program have changed significantly during the last few years. The State of Ohio is focusing technology development and commercialization resources on Third Frontier efforts, led by the Governor of Ohio. EMTEC has aligned itself with these conditions, and again in FY08 will focus on technology commercialization in three of the five Third Frontier categories, namely, Advanced Materials and Processes, Sensors and Instrumentation, and Power and Propulsion (including Fuel Cell technology). We also invite and encourage collaborative proposals in polymer nanotechnology for structural, photonic and biomedical applied research applications, hydrogen generation and storage, alternative energy, renewable energy and materials recycling.
Request for Proposals for Commercial Technology Development
EMTEC member organizations are hereby invited to submit Candidate Commercial Technology (CCT) development project descriptions (proposals) for consideration as potential new-start Commercial Technology (CT) development projects for FY 2008 (from July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008). Interested member organizations are encouraged to provide a Letter-of-Intent to propose, with an abstract of the envisioned project.
CCT project descriptions must conform to the guidelines, which are provided by the CCT Operating Procedure. Proposals, which do not meet these guidelines, will be unacceptable. Please consult EMTEC's web site at www.emtec.org for information on member organizations for purposes of building your collaborative project team, or call us for suggestions. Submitters of Letters-of-Intent and/or member employees known to be planning CCT proposals will receive a CCT guidance material package.
If you want this CCT guidance material, please contact Percy Gros at (937) 259-1367 or pgros@emtec.org <mailto:pgros@emtec.org>.
