Launched in 1987 as a part of the Ohio Department of Development's Thomas Edison Program, EMTEC is a significant force in enhancing competitiveness and economic development for the region, the state, and the nation. |

Through this nationwide network, EMTEC has become a recognized technology development and deployment leader, with a focus on the efficient and cost-effective commercialization of technology. |

Through EMTEC, members have access to virtually any process which acts on a material to transform it into a product. In manufacturing processes like casting, forging, machining, coating, extruding, stamping, assembling, or finishing, and in support processes like design, rapid prototyping, and nondestructive testing, EMTEC helps to improve the quality of members' products by tapping its network to solve the problem. |
