After more than 20 years, EMTEC's focus on helping companies collaborate on materials technology development still remains intact. Today, EMTEC addresses current stakeholder needs focused on advanced materials and materials processing for fuel cells, alternative energy technology, supply chain develpoment, and commercialization. We are staffed to serve the commercial and government market sectors as well as domestic and foreign markets in both technology and business development roles.
What started as an idea for an Edison Center with four full-time employees has grown into a statewide organization of nearly 40 colleagues with offices in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton. In fiscal year 2007 EMTEC created more than $600 million of economic benefit to the State of Ohio through increased client company revenues, cost savings, or capital infusion from projects, programs, and support. EMTEC today serves over 140 member organizations and more that 3,000 clients statewide in industries as diverse as energy, automotive, medical products, and consumer goods.
