The EMTEC Supply Chain Database

The EMTEC Supply Chain Database is the integrated output of several tasks funded by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) to support the development of the fuel cell industry in Ohio. ODOD funded an EMTEC project team to perform fuel cell supplier analysis, site surveys and assessment interviews. Analysis of the fuel cell suppliers will included: Identification of specific companies and their geographic location, categorized by major component type; Mapping of the distribution of suppliers of major components; Available related company information as approved by the company; Other potential relevant information, such as key universities, research centers, other fuel cell production facilities, etc. This information is the core from which EMTEC developed the Fuel Cell Supply Chain Data Base (FCSC-DB) and later databases for Alternative Energy, Photovoltaics and Materials.

A publically available industrial database that includes company name, address, designated contact, brief company bio as well as products in intended to be have several uses: Source of component or service supplier; Identify supply chain holes which could be an opportunity; Compendium of which technologies companies will support; Compendium of which technologies companies want to attract; A source to Identify possible collaborators.
